Is anyone having problems running the plEditor.NET.exe since installing vs2012?
I can open the project in vs2012 (plStudies 2010), and I can still open the project in vs2008.
but I CANNOT run the PlEditor. it stalls when opening either from a shortcut or from within mc.net.
I have repaired the mc.net installation; vs version selector is the default (it will open a .sln/.csproj in either vs2008 or vs2012 depending on the version of the .sln/.csproj file.)
I can run indicators I have previously created, but I cannot add a new .dll reference, as this requires the plEditor.
I really really do not want to uninstall vs2012 (even though it S#$ks)

Re: vs 2012 compatibility
I'm running the new Visual Studio Express for Desktops 2012 and it seems to all be working fine on my laptop and desktop.
As an aside, I love the new express version as it includes C++/C#/VB all under one roof (like the professional version) and they now have a express version of the team foundation server for source control (up to 5 users) which is awesome.
My configuration is:
- Win 7 64
- MC.Net 64
I also run all the MC apps as administrator.

Re: vs 2012 compatibility
Hello riverTrader,
Does PlEditor actually stall (you can see it's window and/or message "Application has stopped working") or you are just unable to see it's window?
Is there an icon of PlEditor on Windows Task Bar and process PLEditor.Net.exe running in task manager?

Re: vs 2012 compatibility
Henry, All I get is the icon, no window is shown.
note: I have both vs2008 and vs2012 installed on my computer; the default program to open a .csproj/.sln file is the vs version selector for 2012.
Windows 7 64 bit
mc.net 64 bit

riverTrader, please close PLEditor from task manager.
Then go to Windows Start button and launch regedit.exe
Please go to this path :
for 32bit MC: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\TS Support\MultiCharts .Net\
for 64bit MC: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\TS Support\MultiCharts .Net64\
in the registry tree please make a right click on the PLEditor editor folder and click Delete.
Please start PLEditor now.

I agree, Microsoft's integration of TFS into Visual Studio Express for free is incredible.I'm running the new Visual Studio Express for Desktops 2012 and it seems to all be working fine on my laptop and desktop.

I also run all the MC apps as administrator.
Both TFS and VSE are the highest class tools available!
I didn't realize it until I read this ticket, Thanks!
