Hi there,
I have a strategy on Renko charts that looks really good. But looking at the fills they seem to be unrealistic.
For example:
Lets say its a 5 tick Renko. Price goes from 95-100 on the bar that generates a buy signal. So the system tries to buy next bar at market. Next bar at market price is likely to be 101 or higher but the chart will show the fill was 100.
Is my thinking about this correct?
With kind regards,
MK

Hello MidKnight,
Are you comparing backtesting to realtime results or trying to understand backtesting results only?
Please attach a full sized chart screenshot to your question.
Have you checked Intra-Bar_Order_Generation,_Bar_Magnifier_on_Non-Standard_Chart_Types article?
