The upgrade to the official release is mandatory: starting today, the data from MCFX servers will no longer be available for the older versions of the program.

New cluster of servers. Two independent servers will ensure uninterrupted data stream. More servers will be added in future versions.

Improved quote server. There will be no more lags in real-time quotes during high market activity.

New auto trading. All the previously reported bugs have been fixed.

Note: Due to FXCM API limitations (no OCO orders), limit/stop orders will not be supported. As soon as an arrow is plotted on a chart, a market order is submitted to FXCM for execution.

If you have any problems either with logging into MCFX or with data, we strongly recommend upgrading to the latest 1.2 version that can be downloaded at http://www.tssupport.com/support/downloads/.

We are happy to announce that after a series of thorough tests we are ready to launch a new data server into the production environment. At the moment all the known problems compromising the server’s reliability and causing data outages have been eliminated.

We are asking all the users to switch to the new server because the old one has issues that cannot be resolved. Starting 03.07.2008, 17:00 EST the old server (64.38.8.218:8000) will no longer be available.

This is still a Beta 2 version because Auto-trading has not been fixed yet. Other than that, the program is fully functional and debugged.

First, we would like to thank everyone who continues to use MCFX despite numerous problems with data. We are certain that these problems will soon be a thing of the past.

We are glad to announce that we finished the development of the new quote server. Implementing this project from scratch took a considerable amount of time, and we are sure that our efforts resulted in a reliable, fast, and scalable system.

This service is currently in beta-test phase and you may discover some shortcomings. However, even in beta-test mode, the system is many times more reliable than the current production version and we strongly urge you to install the beta version of the program in order to avoid the data feed interruptions that have been common up until now. The quantity of data can not exceed 100,000 bars. This limit is in force only while the data compression algorithm is being improved. We expect this limit to be lifted by March 2008.

Point charts currently could not be used. This will also be resolved by March 2008.

Plotting Speed.

Server-based resolution conversion results in many-fold increase in the speed of data download.

For example, to build a 240-minute chart for one year, the platform used to download 360,000 bars and convert them to the desired resolution. This operation required a few minutes. Now this takes only a few seconds because the required conversion is performed by the server and only 1,500 bars have to be downloaded.

We are starting beta-testing of a new version of MCFX that will include an extensive list of new features and enhancements. This version is stable enough to use it for everyday work, however, some bugs might appear as happens in any beta version. Customers willing to participate in beta-testing are welcome to install this beta version, use its new functionality and inform us about all found problems in this thread. As soon as we fix all the problems found during beta-testing, the release of the new version will be announced.
