Description

I heard that Tradestation supports import of COT-Data.

MC does not really support that, not even for import via ASCII - at least not in a way that actually is somehow convienient.
Right now all fields importable must be chart relevant:
O,H,L,C accept possitive and negative values, so importing chart-unrelated data can be imported here and used in indicators.
But that is limited to 4 fields and the naming etc. is not convienient.
All other fields arent more convienient (naming etc.) but in addition only accept positive values, so they dont help at all.

MC needs the possibility to import chart-unrelated data with custom naming possibillities... or use the predefined fields that are in tradestation.

That Tradestation referal was nonsense LOL

They also just throw every COT-Data field in one Symbol for its own.

That ends up in a terrible amount of Symbols.

It would be so cool to use a Symbol as a custom Data-Table, so just pull all COT fields for one Instrument via ASCII-Mapping into one Symbol and work with the custom fields from there on. But that needs more than 4 fields that can handle negativ values.

I hope what I am saying makes sense to you ;-)
