I have only 170 instruments.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Re: Scanning very slow
To be honest saying that something is slow without going into details isn’t much to go from.
I don’t really think that the scanner is slow and I am using IB which only allows 100 ticker at a time and the prescanner with default 20 connection to allow other active user to stay connected is just great.
Your 170 with IB for example should go pretty fast with the prescanner but staying connected could be a problem due to the 100 connection limit.
More details would be nice… Which broker or data provider are you using? Are you referring to the scanner (watch list) or the prescanner?
How many bars are you going back?
Slow refers to time so what time do you expect it to be finished and what time does it really take?

Re: Scanning very slow
I' m using TS data and depth of 200 bars.
Slow refers to time of scanning to see the results in the watchlist.
Any suggestions to improve the scanning?

Re: Scanning very slow
Do you refer to the time it takes on startup until the data is loaded and the results are computed? If so, do you store the TS data in QM's database or does MC have to download it every time from scratch? If it's the latter see if changing that (https://www.multicharts.com/trading-sof ... adeStation) speeds things up the next time.
