I am experiencing the issue reported in the title of the discussion.
Let me cite an example: I draw a rectangle with a fixed length. If it is positioned in the present day of trading or in the previous ones there is no resize. If a part of the rectangle goes beyond the tomorrow trading day I get the resize.
It happens whether the rectangle is free to float or it is locked.
And as you can understand I really don't like what occurs.
I would like to know If it is a glitch or I am wrong.
Thanks in advance for the reply

Hello giulio,
"Anchor to Bars" option should've worked in this case.
Please sens us your workspace along with two screenshots illustrating this situation to support@multicharts.com. We will research it on our end.

I have to clarify the previous example.
Let me take the chart of a security X that trades from 9:00 to 17:30.
At a time before 9:00, e. g. 8:30, I draw a rectangle that starts in the previous trading day and ends in that is going to start.
Until 8:59 there is no resizing; when the first bar occurs in the chart there is the cut and the rectangle now ends at the end of the prevous trading day.
So I think is something linked to the end/start of the trading days and when a new day starts there is a sort of "reboot".
In the following days I will try to make a video about this.
Regards
Re: unwanted resizing of a rectangle
The problem is still there even after the last update.
I am not able to provide a video to show you this glitch because it occurs randomly.
I repeat what happens:
- at the end of a day, let me say T, I draw some rectangles in some workspaces; the rectangles have the "property" to be part in T and part in T+1, the next trading day;
- after the first bar of T+1 is built, a resize of the rectangle can happen. Pay your attention on can, becuase the resizing can occur on workspace X but cannot happen in workspace Y although X and Y have rectangles with the same "property".
- the box "Anchor to Bars" can be checked or not; the result is the same.

Right click on chart,
Go to Format Window
Under X-Time Scale tab
Setting Chart Shift
Select Bars instead of %

First of all thanks for your reply.Right click on chart,
Go to Format Window

But this solution has no effect.
The glitch occurred in one of the six workspaces where I tried

Hello giulio,
Will you be able to demonstrate the case via remote connection? If so, please contact us in Live Chat within working hours (Mon - Fri 6:30 AM - 1 PM EST).

NopeHello giulio,
Will you be able to demonstrate the case via remote connection? If so, please contact us in Live Chat within working hours (Mon - Fri 6:30 AM - 1 PM EST).
I suggest an easier way:
- take your personal software for the testing;
- draw some rectangles in a few workspaces;
- wait one or two trading sessions to see what happens.

Re: unwanted resizing of a rectangle
Hello giulio,
Thanks for providing the steps to replicate the issue, I have forwarded them to our engineers. Please clarify 2 more things:
1. What is your chart resolution?
2. How far into the future do you draw the rectangle: to the maximum or only couple of bars forward? If possible please attach a screenshot of your chart.
