Re: email notification available yet?
Email notification from indicator has been available for awhile.Hi, I've done a search and I found it has been asked for but I could not find if it is possible for the software to send an email notification upon an event.
thanks, lee.
Go to Format Study. Look under Alert tab.
[Note] Gmail won't work, you have to set up another mail account service.
eg. You can set up a GMX account as the sender.

As for email notification when internet down,
There is nothing can you do... you can't send email from your computer when the internet is down, so don't expect that MultiCharts can send you an email either. (unless you can connect a cell phone to your computer.)
As for broker connection down,
you can code a detection in an indicator.

can't get it to work with gmail though.
I put : smtp.gmail.com , port 465
server authentication=
username = mygooglehandle@gmail.com
password = mygooglepassword
is there something i should change?

nice got it working now.
have to check on it next week when the markets are moving and our systems hit what we have set for notifying us. just what I need. something else to wake me up in the middle of the night...
all the help for the setup to the iphone is located on the gmx site, it's just hard to find.
