filter on sales times & I returns to 'place the graphic volume traded
return values exchanged over "x" in volume purchase or sale!
course on a tick chart compression
a 'sketch of how the code should be code:
inputs:
UpColor (darkgreen)
DownColor (red)
Block (1000);
if date <> date [1] then begin
VolumeAtBid = 0;
VolumeAtAsk = 0;
strong hands up = 0;
strong hands dw = 0;
end;
if VolumeAtBid> block then
strong hands up = 1
else if VolumeAtAsk> block then
strong hands dw = 1
end;
strong hands up if = 1 then
color = UpColor
else strong hands dwdw = 1 color = DownColor
end;
Plot1 (strong hands up);
Plot (strong hands dw);

Re: Strong hands indicator [SOLVED]
@ndy,
It is not possible to write your own indicator for the free MCDT version.
This is from the MultiCharts Discretionary Trader (Alpha) page.
"This free version was designed specifically for traders that don’t need custom indicators or algorithmic trading. Make sure you compare MultiCharts DT to the regular version. If you wish to write or import Easylanguage (trademark of TS), or PowerLanguage indicators and strategies, you will need to purchase the regular version of MultiCharts."

If you are writing for the regular version of MC then you can post in this section for help
