I use Interactive brokers for datafeed and need to open minute-based charts for cash forex & CME futures.
When I close Multicharts for several hours, and then open it again.
The minute-based data always refresh until exactly 2 hours ago.
ex: close at 15:20 , re-open at 19:20, only get 15:20~17:20 minute-based data.
The data between 17:20~19:20 is missing.
I try to reload manually, but still can't get recent 2-hour data.
I also try to delete data of several days in quote manager, and re-open multicharts to reload all of those data. But Multicharts still can't get recent 2-hour data.
I also try to re-install Multicharts and use all default settings, but the gap still happens.
I use NT to test those data come from Interactive brokers, and it works without any problems.
Does anyone know why the 2-hour gap happened?
Any suggestion will be appreciated.

Re: Restart Multicharts and always miss 2-hour minute data
which session template are you using?
that sounds like you're using the wrong one
if there's no template with the hours you need, you must create your own in QM

Re: Restart Multicharts and always miss 2-hour minute data
To avoid the session problems, I select the 24/7 template, but still can't get the right data.
have you open the 24/7 template to confirm the hours used in it?
have you created a template for the hours you want and see if there's any difference?

I already used several different templates, and I am sure that those templates cover the hours which I need.To avoid the session problems, I select the 24/7 template, but still can't get the right data.

No matter when I open Multicharts, it just can't get recent 2-hour data. Except the recent 2 hours, any data in any hour could be correctly loaded.
I guess there are some mistakes in my settings which let Multicharts or IB server to think I only request historical data 2 hours before now, but I don't know how to correct them.
Do you have any idea?
Thanks for any suggestion.

Re: Restart Multicharts and always miss 2-hour minute data [SOLVED]
This problem is caused by new Java update (7u60, update something about timezone).
If anyone meet the same situation, you can try to remove Java 7u60 and install 7u55 again.

Re: Restart Multicharts and always miss 2-hour minute data
Hi,
I had the same problem - missing 2 hours worth of data when I started multicharts. Reloading the data did not resolve the issue.
I can confirm that changing Java from 7u60 back to 7u55 has resolved the issue.

Flatstrap

Re: Restart Multicharts and always miss 2-hour minute data
I observed the same issue - java home page mentions an expiration date of July 15, 2014 respectively August 15, 2014 for this release 7u55 - Where can I get the old version and what can be expected in regard to proper function of this 7u55 release after an expiry date?I can confirm that changing Java from 7u60 back to 7u55 has resolved the issue.

Re: Restart Multicharts and always miss 2-hour minute data
Hello Walter,Where can I get the old version and what can be expected in regard to proper function of this 7u55 release after an expiry date?
Please close MultiCharts and TWS -> downgrade Java to ver 7 Update 55.
Here is how to do that:
1) Uninstall Java:
http://www.java.com/en/download/help/uninstall_java.xml
2) Download the java version according to your OS version from this page
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/ ... 55-oth-JPR
or one of these two:
32 bit: http://www.oldapps.com/java.php?old_java=14636?download
64 bit: http://www.oldapps.com/java.php?old_java=14645?download
3) Install the downloaded Java 7 update 55.
4) Reboot your PC if required
5) Start MultiCharts and TWS
6) Reload the charts with the gaps (View tab->Reload) in MultiCharts and the issue should be resolved.
We do not think there should be any issues after the expiry date of this java version.
