Re: Critical size of database
Hello bensat,
Critical database size is determined by your OS capabilities.
In this case, we recommend to do the following:
1. Clear the cache for all the symbols in QuoteManager (QuoteManager -> Click one the symbol -> Ctrl+A -> Right-click on any symbol -> Clear cache)
2. Run the gback file to reduce database size: https://www.multicharts.com/trading-sof ... abase_Size
Please make sure to do a backup of the database folder before running gback.

Re: Critical size of database
I'm running WS2012R2. Reducing the size of the db doesn't work on my end here as the db always crashes and I have to use the backup afterwards. I export all data & symbols every 4-6 weeks and re-import it back into a new db. But it saves 100-180MB on size only. Since the size of the db went beyond 7.5G+ problems started.Critical database size is determined by your OS capabilities.
