Re: historical data in quotemanager that disappear
Hello turbofib,
If you are running 64 bit platform and the application was not shut down correctly then the data can be lost.
Please import the data, close the platform and make sure all of its processes finished correctly.
Then run QuoteManager and check your data.

Is there any way to auto save the downloaded real time data in Quotemanager without shutting down MC 64x ? I ask so because whenever the system crash and MC is not shut down correctly real time data collected in the recent session will be lost.

Henry,
This issue comes up again and again.
Please, let's at least have a button to save data without having to close (nearly) all of MC processes.
There is a PM for that.

We HAVE a backup, it's listed under Multicharts (installed programs list) called "Backup". You can choose what to save. (Almost 1 button anyway).Henry,

Assuming you're using the current version of MC.

you can make a backup with all MC files closed if i have good memory .... not good in this case QM is runningWe HAVE a backup, it's listed under Multicharts (installed programs list) called "Backup". You can choose what to save. (Almost 1 button anyway).Henry,

Re: historical data in quotemanager that disappear
better idea !
QM can have a schedule do do backup on HDD every day when marquet are close, if QM or MC freeze you only loose one day datas
good when autotrading is ON with MC running in VPS
- another workaround could be to make an export instrument, maybe cached data would be in this export ??? but always need automatic schedule....

I agree this is a pain. 9/10 times I restart MC due to a crash (but that's only because I have MC running for months at a time!...so that's not an insult to MC).
My workaround is to routinely export the QMD's for all my symbols. Then once I've restarted post crash.... i simply import the QMDs!
