Oanda feed stuck
Oanda feed stuck
This has been an issue observed in the past and this is in release 12 version. MC says it is connected but it really isn't or at least quotes aren't coming through to MC. See attached screenshot.. MC shows being connected to oanda, the current correct price is 1.1337 yet no prices are coming onto MC and shows EURUSD stagnant and price not changing at 1.14223 Disconnecting and reconnecting does not fix the issue. Sometimes killing all MC processes and restarting solves the problem.

Re: Oanda feed stuck
Here is another example. The same trade at same exact time.. the Oanda web interface showing 1.13410 and same exact time the MC data shows connected yet a completely different price at 1.1337 and the feed is stuck not moving. The Oanda feed was working in MC earlier but has stopped updating. Needless to say, I can't autotrade with the software stopping to work occasionally.

Re: Oanda feed stuck
Hello gpw797,
In MultiCharts data provider and broker connections are separate.
You can see the status of the broker connection on the Trade Bar in MultiCharts. Reconnecting the broker profile on the Trade Bar has no effect on the data feed connection.
As for the data connection - you can trace the connection status in QuoteManager Event Log. There is no visual indication of the datafeed status similar to the broker connection. If you see no obvious error messages in the Event Log - please come to the live chat to demonstrate this behavior remotely for the fastest assistance. If you cannot do so, then please send us the logs for analysis:
In MultiCharts go to Help tab->Feedback (or Windows Start menu->All programs->MultiCharts64->Feedback).
In the Description field specify the date/time when the realtime data has stopped.
Select these options:
- Attach a screenshot;
- Attach log files to help us understand what happened
- Upload collected data to Help Desk.
Uncheck the other options as we do not need them right now.
Please also email to support the full sized screenshots demonstrating the issue. We need to see your system clock and the time value in the status line of the chart.

Re: Oanda feed stuck
Nothing unusual in the quote manager log.. shows requests for data being requested and sent. Attached is screen shot showing the oanda in their web interface showing one price and MC next to it with a different price ... MC is running the Oanda data feed and is stuck and not moving. Screenshot includes time as requested.
