Hi Community,
My multicharts is always a bar later than the same chart on tradingview. I am using NQ1! on Tradingview and NQM1 on Multicharts with data exclusively IB feed. The charts are saying the same thing but the timestamp of each bar on Multicharts is always one unit of time behind Tradingview.
For example say on a 1-minute timeframe the market opens with big red candle at 9:30 am. My Tradingview will show a big red candle at 9:30am but my Multicharts will show a big red candle at 9:01am. Similarlily market open on a 3-minute chart Tradingview would show big red bar at 9:30am but Multicharts would show same bar at 9:33 am timestamp.
To illustrate I attached a screenshot of the exact same strategy running on each platform (1 hr time difference between MC & TV is just exchange time vs. local time ).
What should I make of this?
Thanks!
Multicharts + IB a bar late or a glitch?

MultiCharts uses EOB (End of Bar) timing.
Most charting software use EOB timing.

Ok so can someone else who is using Multicharts + Tradingview confirm that they are also seeing their charts being one tick behind Tradingview?

Hi BlackstarOB,
MultiCharts uses bar close timestamp for bars instead of the bar open.
It means that the bar that is open, for example, at 15:58 and closed at 15:59, will acquire the 15:59 time.
This is hard coded and cannot be changed.
