Hi,
After I close my MC and then try to open it again I get a message that my MC is already running on a different machine. What does it mean?
Multicharts already connected to a different machine?

Re: Multicharts already connected to a different machine?
To my experience, this can mean two things:
1) The same license is used concurrently on several machines and more than 2 licenses are trying to get activated at once.
2) Most of the time this happens because one of the MC shutdown processes encountered an abnormal termination. Ain't much that can be done about that.
I never encountered any major issues resulting from this situation until now. My worst situations were crashes (win 7 64 bits and drivers related), which led to unsaved workspaces/charts. All data issues were handled transparently, but required a fair level of patience.

I have only one computer and only one MC licence installed on it.1) The same license is used concurrently on several machines and more than 2 licenses are trying to get activated at once.

How long did you wait before restart?
It happened to me a few times when I try to restart immediately.
Wait about 10 seconds and it works well again. So option 2 as tcat writes.
