As I use power editor and charting power editor memory usage keeps rising, soon hitting over 400,000k, entering text gets slower, the program eventually hangs.
This problem is on my win7 64 pc but not the xp32 pc

Which version of MultiCharts you are using? As I use power editor and charting power editor memory usage keeps rising, soon hitting over 400,000k, entering text gets slower, the program eventually hangs.

Please go to Help > About MultiChart
then Copy and Paste the version number here.
Is this problem related to a specific indicator?
if so, can you post the code?
Re: power editor memory usage problem+slow +hanging
I have the same issue on win7 64 bit. It may be DWM with aero turned on, I will try turning if off.
Re: power editor memory usage problem+slow +hanging
I am on 7-2 however I had some similar problems before though not as bad.
I've switched off aero it made editing text more responsive but memory still climbs, it reached 1.5 gig and locked

Can someone make a video and document what you are doing to reproduce? It shouldn't climb that high generally speaking.
Re: power editor memory usage problem+slow +hanging
I turned off show tool tips under editor options, and that helped quite a bit, syntax coloring still lags often until after compiling.RAM climbs each time I open a script, and does not release when that script is closed. I often need to open numerous scripts at once, when the editor finally crashes all open scripts will need to be recompiled.

Can't reproduce it. Only possibility that I can think of is that you are using some study that must dump a lot of info into the PLEditor. Then memory should rise.
