Hi guys,
First question,
I am trying to use universal DDE and it seems like only 3 fields (Bid,Ask,Trade) are available.
Is it possible to add more fields if I add more on the source excel file?
Second,
Is it possible to place an order via excel?
Of course, buy/sell signal will be out from MC but I am wondering if the excel can pick up order signal and send the signal to a broker.
Thanks in advance.

Dear seung1980,
As for your first question - only those three are available right now, you can add a feature request if you would like to see more implemented.
As for your second question - I'm not sure if it's possible to send orders out from Excel. When it comes to sending info from MC to Excel, you can probably use the ELExcel.dll which is discussed here - viewtopic.php?f=1&t=8731&p=41041&hilit=ELExcel#p41034

Excel based auto trading is very much possible. I think I read somewhere Interactive Brokers accepts orders out of Excel. Check with them, or Google as there are other options and resources. Is it possible to place an order via excel?
Here is one:

However, why would one want to go from MultiCharts to Excel and then to a broker; just too many joints.

Re: Some questions about using DDE as data source
You can add more brokers to MultiCharts by purchasing and using our Order SDK (https://www.multicharts.com/multicharts/sdk/). You can also add more data feeds by using our Data Feed SDK. You can contact me directly at sbokov@multicharts.com for more details about purchasing the SDKs.thanks for the info.Excel based auto trading is very much possible.
