I would like to be able to export performance reports directly to excel 97-2003? Currently they are saved in an unknown format and need to be forced "Save as 97-2003".
Is there a setting somewhere in MC that does this?

Hello Sir.
Please let me know what version of MultiCharts are you running.
What file format do you have in "Save as" window of the Performance Report?
Please attach the screenshots.

Re: Exporting Performance Report to Excel
"Microsoft Excel WorkBook (*.xls)" is the file type for Microsoft Office 97-2003.
If the file saved in this format is not opened by MS Office on your PC-you need to check the file type association setup in your Windows.

Re: Exporting Performance Report to Excel
Attached is the warning I get when I open the file after saving the performance report.
I am using EXCEL 2007 on this machine.
On another machine I am using a much earlier version of EXCEL '97-2003' but it does not recognise this format.
on this machine I have to forcibly save the file as '97-2003' format so that I can open it on the machine that has the older version of EXCEL i.e '97-2003'.

Re: Exporting Performance Report to Excel
MultiCharts saves the report in the .xlsx file format if you have MS Office 2007, 2010 installed on your PC.
The report is saved in the .xls file format if you have MS Office 97, 2003 installed on the PC.
If you have MC Office 2007 installed and you have saved the report (.xlsx)-you will need to "save as ms office 2003 (.xls)" this file manually on this pc to open it on the PC with MS Office 97/2003.
