Hi,
I am using MC 8.0 64 bit. Somehow the QM does not find any esignal symbols anymore. The connection seems to be blocked but RT data receiving is working. The problem is new. Some days ago it worked perfectly!? Any idea?
I used an anti-malware program - could this have caused such a disconnection?

Re: esignal symbol search does not work anymore
Hello Sir,
Please try to do the following:
1) Close Multicharts and all its products (i.e. MC, Quote Manager, PL editor, ....).
Make sure that all MC processes are ended.
In the Windows Task manager check these processes:
atCenterServer.exe
Fixserver.exe
MultiCharts.exe
MessageCenter.exe
PLEditor.exe
QuoteManager.exe
StudyServer.exe
tsServer.exe
TradingServer.exe
TPserver.exe
ZfServer.exe
ZfServerProxyV3.exe
Please end the processes if they are still running after MC close.
2) Close eSignal data manager.
3) After all processes are closed-start Quote manager then make sure that eSignal data manager is running and you are logged in.
Then try to add a symbol from the data source: Quote manager-> Instrument tab->Add symbol->From data source-> eSignal.
For example try to add MSFT stock.
Please let me know if this solution helped you or not.

Re: esignal symbol search does not work anymore
Please try to repair MultiCharts (Start->Control panel->Uninstall a program->MultiCharts->Repair).
After the repair procedure is finished-please start QuoteManager as administrator (make a right click on the icon->Run as administrator). Once it is started-please close it.
Then start QuoteManager as usual and try to add the symbol from the data source.
If this solution didn't help and you still have the issue-please come to our live chat Monday-Friday 6:30 am - 4 pm EST.
We will do our best to help you.

Re: esignal symbol search does not work anymore
Please cancel the installation.
Then download and install these three files one by one in the following order:
1) http://dl.dropbox.com/u/27918922/vcredi ... 08_eng.exe
2) http://dl.dropbox.com/u/27918922/vcredi ... P1_eng.exe
3) http://dl.dropbox.com/u/27918922/vcredi ... 08_eng.exe
After the installation please repair MultiCharts.
This should fix the error message and MultiCharts should be installed properly.

Re: esignal symbol search does not work anymore
Hi,
After thorough investigation on your end we've figured out that this behavior can be caused by two things: Internet Explorer is set to work offline or Internet Security Settings are too high.
Internet Explorer is set to work offline
1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. From the Menu bar, select File.
3. Be sure Work Offline is not checked.
4. If Work Offline is checked, click on it to remove the check.
5. Request credit again from Point.
Internet Security Settings are too high
1. Minimize Point.
2. Open Internet Explorer.
3. From the Menu bar, select Tools > Internet Options.
4. In the Internet Options window, click the General tab.
5. In the Temporary Internet Files section:
a) For Internet Explorer 6. Click Delete Cookies and Delete Files.
b) For Internet Explorer 7. Click Delete. In the Delete Browsing History window, click Delete All.
6. Click the Security tab.
7. In the Security level for this zone section, click Reset All zones to default level.
8. Click the Programs tab.
9. At the bottom of the window, check the Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser box. (For Internet Explorer version 6, click Reset Web Settings.)
10. Click the Advanced tab, then click Restore Advanced Settings.
11. Use the scroll bar to scroll to the bottom of the Settings list. Be sure Use SSL 2.0 and Use SSL 3.0 are checked
12. Click OK.
Best Regards,
Katrin Yanenko

Re: esignal symbol search does not work anymore
I pity the person who had to uncover the source of this problem, since that would seem the last thing in the world that might cause this.(..)this behavior can be caused by two things: Internet Explorer is set to work offline or Internet Security Settings are too high.
Thanks for keeping us updated here.
