Is there a way to seperate the data from the windows aerea. Very important when windows is installed on an SSD.
If not , do you plan to do so in the future ?

I am not sure if i follow you, but if you are talking about moving data base files from your C drive to a different location, this instruction should be helpful for you:
http://www.multicharts.com/trading-soft ... om_C_Drive
Please let me know if this is not what you need.

Re: Multicharts and SSD
Hello Pipscalper,
I also use SSD and have my windows and Multicharts on the C drive (=ssd). I did that to get the best performance out of my system and best speed out of Multicharts.
Is there a reason why you don't want Multicharts on the ssd?

Re: Multicharts and SSD
Hello evdl
It is not Multicharts itself that's my worry but the writing of data continuously realtime to the SSD .
SSD's lifetime expectancy is influenced a lot by writing data to the SSD , Reading of data is no problem.
As i understand Multicharts needs to have the data also on the SSD and cannot be separated or am I misinformed ?

If I understand well , the data folder CAN be seperated from the drive where MC is installed , that would solve the problem that to much writeaction is done on the SSD.
Thanks a lot.
I suppose that the problem is solved then.

I will probably needed to redo all the process because for whatever reason, my data hard disk as multiple file bearing the same name.
