MultiCharts .NET 15 Release

Postby Kate MultiCharts » 05 Mar 2024

Dear Users,

We’re happy to announce that MultiCharts 15 is now officially available!
Download and get started here to see what we’ve prepared for you.

Here are the new features you can test out:
  1. Simulated Trading. Data playback in MultiCharts was completely redesigned and transformed into the trading simulator — you can go back in time and use this time machine to improve your trading strategy. Trading simulator can use regular ask and bid data, as well as depth of market (Level 2) data. With the built-in Market Data Sim data, for a selected number of popular symbols, you can start simulated trading with just a few clicks.
Find more in our Wiki here.
  2. External Alerts. Now you can receive alerts from MultiCharts not only by email, but also in Slack and Telegram.
With our How to Set Up External Alerts guide you’ll get them working in no time.

Find more in our blog and What's New section.

Thanks Kate!

Would you be so kind and share a bit more in terms of what's new on the API front ... remember there was a chm doc w/ API's / functions usable from the .NET Editor, would love to see an updated version of that, if anything new is relevant on that front.
Equally, would be great to hear of a timeline in terms of .NET Framework upgrade to higher than 4.0, if that's available.

Hello andrei,

Could you please specify what API doc you are referring to?
As for new .NET Framework versions support, our developers are evaluating it, there's no ETA yet.

So, how many releases did you have since 2014 ... a lot has changed, and would be great if the Power Language Reference .CHM doc gets promoted to version 2.0 ... as currently it's still at version 1.0 ... more, the docs are incomplete, for example this:

viewtopic.php?f=19&t=54210&p=142202#p142202

Describes just one instance of completely missing documentation.
Just to clarify, documentation means working end-to-end examples of those APIs, not just regurgitating a function signature, without any details on what it does in the background.
Would be great to have a scaling in/scaling out on a Portfolio Trader set of symbols.

If you already doing this on github / elsewhere, please share the links. Thanks!
