Description

on MC R6 updated my CSV files after the CFTC update today and when I opened my Workspace, the new data usually shows.
But not today. So I closed the workspace, opened Mapping in QM and closed it again with the message "you have x files mapped".
The new data still didnt show.
Then I deleted the mappings, closed QM etc. remapped.... and weirdly enough, mapping works but still only shows the old data. Double checked the csv, all data there, but wont show on chart.

Not reladet: After that weird odysee, I updated to R8, but the problem is still the same.

Steps to reproduce this issue
Nothing entered.

Hello Chris,

The behaviour is not reproduced on our end.

Please check the following points: 1. Your antivirus/firewall software is disabled or configured to ignore MultiCharts processes. MultiCharts processes list: https://www.multicharts.com/trading-software/index.php?title=MultiCharts_Processes 2. ASCII files with different internal structure are stored in separate folders 3. One ASCII file contains data for one symbol only

After that select one problematic ASCII file for checking possible issues with it: 1. Import data from that file into a newly created symbol. Fix the import errors if there were any. https://www.multicharts.com/trading-software/index.php?title=Importing_Data 2. Map one problematic file only using a base resolution (1 tick, 1 minute or 1 day). Create a chart for the mapped symbol and add a new line into the corresponding ASCII file using Notepad, taking into account the PC time, chart time zone and the time zone selected during mapping. Does the new bar appear on the chart?

If that doesn’t help, please reproduce the behaviour with one symbol and one chart and send us a report via the main MultiCharts window -> Help -> Feedback. In the Feedback window select the following options: Attach a screenshot; Attach log files…; Snapshot of the current MC setup; Open workspaces…; Data for active instruments…; Include tick data; Upload collected data to Help Desk; uncheck other options and click Send.

Also, please send the ASCII file or a sample of it, its mapping settings and some screenshots to illustrate the issue to our support email.
