Refund Policy

We recognize that the product might not suit all potential customers. That’s why we offer a 30 day money back guarantee to all customers. If you decide that OwnData does not suit you for any reason, please contact us and send us back the USB hardware dongle within 30 days of purchasing. We will issue a refund within 24 hours of receiving the dongle. The refund will be issued via SWREG, our payment company, and takes 7-14 days to process after being issued.

Keep in mind that if you decide to return the software, you will incur some costs. You are responsible for shipping and handling charges for mailing the hardware dongle back to us. We will also deduct from the refund the following - shipping, handling and transaction costs we incurred for processing your order and sending the hardware dongle to you. We use the fastest shipment methods, and shipment costs depend on your location, so the amount deducted may vary.

SWREG charges us the following amount for each processed purchase - $87.91 for a lifetime license of OwnData 3 and $15,41 for an upgrade. If you pay with American Express we are charged $147.85 and $25.35 respectively. We absorb these costs when you purchase a license, but if you return the software, you will be responsible for reimbursing these costs to us. Once again, if you return the software - shipping, handling and processing charges outlined above will be deducted from the refund. 

 

Upgrade Policy

Major upgrades in the software industry mean drastic changes from previous versions, while minor upgrades provide smaller improvements. We will provide free minor upgrades of OwnData, which will reflect the minor upgrades made by TradeStation. OwnData 3 versions will introduce compatibility for new versions of TradeStation up to TS 9.9. Major upgrades, such as OwnData that supports TS 10, will be paid.

Exception clause: sometimes a minor version upgrade can introduce drastic changes on the back-end. It happens rarely, but it has been known to happen in the past. We reserve the right to decide that if the changes in a TradeStation minor release are drastic enough that we need to do a major version change, we will release a chargeable upgrade.  

 

Payment Options and Delivery

SWREG handles the payment processing for us. Payment methods include all major credit cards, PayPal cheques and wire transfers.

Once you purchase a license of OwnData 3, we will ship the hardware dongle security device to the address you indicated during the purchase. Processing and delivery takes 2-5 business days, delivery times depend on your location. Dongles are shipped every day at 5 pm EST.
