When backtesting,we often try numerous combinations of signals and signal paramaters.
It would be useful to export a list of the signals, signal parameters, and backtest settings into the Excel file used to export backtest / portfolio backtest results. This way, when you look at the excel file you have a good idea of the signals and paramaters used to generate the file. When looking back through sometimes hundreds of files, this is extremely useful.
Attached is an example from another backtest platform. It is imperfect as it relates to use for MultiCharts, but it will help give the general idea.
