Add Drawing Tool to All Linked Charts with same instrument in a workspace

Go to the next issue (open or closed)
Go to the next open issue

When using a multi charts / multiple time frame workspace setup it would have been great to have the option to choose in Format setup properties to apply drawing tools to all linked charts with same instrument in a workspace. This would reduce workload considerabely.
Another useful feature in addition to "all charts" would to have the option to choose with a check box in the same tab to lock the tools when applied.

Steps to reproduce this issue

Can not be reproduced.

When I work with horizontal lines and Fibonacci on a chart and finally are satisfied with where I have set it, it would have been nice to have the "Add to linked charts" feature in the right click menu for the drawing tool.
Additionally in the drawing tools Format -> Properties tab it would have been nice to choose with a check box if the drawing tool should be added to linked charts as Locked or not.

I feel a more flexible option might be to be able to copy and paste drawing objects between charts.
Actualy it would be nice to have both the feature requested here and copy and paste. In any case if this is implemented it should be in the drawing objects properties. Some objects I would not want replicated.

When selecting to display an object on all charts of the same instrument, it would be convenient to choose between "All" or "Smaller time frame". For example, if we draw a trendline in a daily chart, it has some sense to display it on a 30 min chart. Displaying it on a weekly chart is more disturbing than useful.

Good points Fabrice. And at Nick, to have the ability to copy and paste between charts would also have been really great.

@Nick. I mean having the ability to copy and paste would open up to some fast and really flexible chart analysis.

Please don't misunderstand my previous comment. I was acctually referring to my own post before that. I vote for Nick's copy and paste between the charts suggestion.
Cheers : )

I second this request. With the proper linking when an object is moved in one chart it will move in all. (That is not the case with copy and paste).
Linking could be "global to all charts" check box in the drawing object's format window which could be checked and made a default setting along with other settings, or not. Thanks.

It would be great to have drawing tools set Globally.

we need this.  very important feature IMHO

this is particularly important when working with different bar types. For example in individual may find the close or open on a particular bar type valuable. But trying to find that close or open on a minute chart for example may be very difficult. Having the drawings auto draw is very important.

Agree. Globally would be a good thing.

It would be a great addition.
You can draw your supports & resistances on 1 TF and they will automatically appear in all open charts.
Please think about it

I see this has been postponed for quite some time now. Could you please now add this feature to the new coming version 9.0?
I believe that I am right if I say that many of us is missing this feature. As mentioned before; If you've made several drawings on a chart, it can be a really huge job to manually replicate them to other time frames, especially when erasing old ones and making new ones every day.
My suggestion would be that we had a right click menu item that for example said "Replicate to Linked" -> "Lower Time Frames", "Higher Time Frames", and the third last "All Time Frames". This would be awesome.

When I used Ninja Trader, I was very glad about this feature, but since I changed to MC, I miss it. For my trading I have diferent charts of the same market in diferent timeframes, so for example when i draw a trendline in the 15 min chart (I use it for a general view), I don´t have tis information at the tick chart whith which I´m trading. So I can miss the resistance or support

To elaborate on my previous comment my idea is when drawing tools are replicated from one chart to other linked charts, they are not copied. Rather they are mirror images from the original chart. In the Format Objects window there should be one more column named "Replicate to...". The values for this column are "Lower Time Frames", "Higher Time Frames", "All Time Frames", or "None". By removing the chart where a drawing tool is originally created the mirror images disappear from the linked charts. In my personal opinion I think this is the best solution and would make MultiCharts one of the best platforms for discretionary trading without doubt.

I am from IB and I m trying Multichart. MC has a lot of great feature.
However, this issue is a problem for me. Even on TWS from IB has it is possible to share line on differents charts/windows.

This is a BASIC multiple grouped chart feature. I recommend developing and including in MC ASAP as it is an essential part of Multi time frame analysis. Again, this should have been a basic initial feature. Thank you for considering this.

They can control every element of https://prowritingpartner.com/college-paper-org-review/ their home. They can also command electronic devices at home including smart locks and smart lights. It is important to note that many home owners are now using this technology. The consumers are also experiencing numerous benefits that are associated with this new technology.
