Apart from the Market Profile capabilities already requested here http://www.multicharts.com/pm/viewissue.php?issue_no=MC-1307 the feature request presented here is regarding a TPO bar type.
MC has available many bar types, OHLC, Candlestick, OHL, HL and this TPO would be viewed as a regular bar type.
The TPO resembles the HL bar type where we only have the high and low information of the bar. Its main caracteristic is the fact that by reading each letter we have a clear reading by how many ticks a prior high or low has been taken.
Also, by removing the open anc close information of each bar we get a much better (less noisy) rerading.
A TPO bar type will also allow us to plot every study we want since this is a regular bar type. We can plot moving averages, manipulate session templates to suit our needs...
A market profile chart due to its caracteristics will not allow that type of manipulation.
This TPO bar type will not substitue a market profile chart. Each have their own place.
This bar type must have a couple of options, we need to be able to choose which font and the size we want for it and also the ability for us to choose how many letters per tick, similar to the option volume profile has to choose how many ticks per row.
Days with 120 ticks of range, depending the letter size we use can become impossible to view on the screen. So it would be nice to have an option to choose how many letters per tick we want to facilitate the reading when looking at larger time frames.
