Make resolution quick choice static

Description

I'd like to have the resolution quick choice on the status line to be static.
I'd like to have an option to choose which resolutions I want there and their position in the list.
Since we have access to the resolution list on the registry maybe you could create an option there to switch on and off the resolution update so we could have it static.
Also alow us to choose the position in which the resolution get's displayed.
