Description

Hi.
What about grouping all charts within a workspace.
Imagine that you have 4 charts in a workspace, all charts are plotting ES contract, each with different time frame.
If MC had a way to monitor all opened charts within the same workspace, and if all of them were plotting the same symbol, than the tick by tick playback in global mode would be permitted, otherwise, would be blocked.
With the new tick ID feature, playing back different time frames tick by tick in global mode should be easier to accomplish since the bigger problem always reported was how to match different tick times for different frames, and symbols.
Removing the different symbols out of the equation, since I understand that this can continue to give problems even with tick ID, we are left with different frames within the same symbol, where the tick ID should resolve the initial problems.

The playback tick by tick in global mode was already requested in MC-74.
This is an idea that could resolve the apparent difficulty on how MC can read several charts and know if they are all using the same symbol.

We would need to create a mechanism to track resolutions across multiple charts/workspaces. This is not something that is currently available or easy to do. Maybe some time down the road.

Playback terminates when you change timeframes (resolution) on a chart. Could you stay in blackback mode when you change resolutions? For example might set playback on a daily chart to an earlier day and plot support and resistance, then change to a 10 minute resolution on the same chart to see the s/r levels.
