Description

Hi,
A trivial request but productivity positive.
Usage: One example. When going through opportunities by loading different instruments in sequence on the same chart window (eg. opportunities in scanner) when a new instrument is loaded I often find that some of the studies I've created are not calculated for the new instrument. Particularly drawings. I then need to do a right click on the chart and select recalculate.

It would be a bonus to just be able to click an icon on the toolbar. I mean that's what the toolbar is useful for - a convenience.

So it is a trivial request but none-the-less important.
cheers
Dean

Hello Dean,

Could you please come to our live chat to demonstrate this behavior through remote connection: "I often find that some of the studies I've created are not calculated for the new instrument"? NOTE: there is a constant error when I try to attach the PLA file. Tried two different browsers. Anyhow have sent the PLA file using email to support. Hi,

thanks for reaching out to me for more details.

Could you please come to our live chat to demonstrate this behaviour through remote connection

I'm unable to do that.

I have attached a drawing study PLA. I have written a regression script that is also problematic. Both are intermittent, in that they often display but sometimes don't.

So the attached displays intermittently. Setup is: scanner with say 20+ instruments. Add study to subchart#1. Sequence through various instruments (clicking) in scanner table on say 15m chart. You should notice the name of the symbol in centre of chart. Progress randomly through selection. It will display then at times it doesn't. I have found it intermittent. Perhaps it's because my MC app has been open for a long period.

I have found that shutting down and restarting alleviates this behaviour. I am using the ADE and GV DLL's.

Note: I am NOT asking for this to be fixed. Hence NOT a bug report. I'm asking for a SIMPLE feature to ADD the recalculate button to the list in CUSTOMIZE TOOLBAR option, so I don't have to right click, find refresh and select. If that is a difficult feature to add (I think not) then I wont object to DECLINING the request.

cheers

Dean

According to our email conversation, here are the suggestions our dev team provided to improve the described behavior:
1) Add RecoverDrawings=False] parameter to the beginning of your indicator’s script.
2) You can also recalculate your indicator on a timeout using RecalcLastBarAfter(1).

Adding a Recalculate Indicators button to the toolbar has been declined for now.
