MCDT does not have any newsreader but news are essential as markets are driven by news. NinjaTrader 7 and OEC Trader 3.5 do have newsreaders, and MCDT should have it, too. Maybe some APIs do even allow do download news from their servers. I know that OEC offers to buy a Dow Jones Newswire newsfeed for $5 in a month and to display the news in their newsreader. Maybe it is possible to download these news by the API and display it in Multicharts. At least it should be possible to add RSS newsfeeds to such a newsreader. Maybe Multicharts even want to work together with news providers to offer special news products for Multicharts. I special feature would be if the news could be stored locally on the PC in a database such that a user can access, analyse, and filter them even days, months, or years after the news event. Another feature could be to connect news to financial instruments (e.g. future contracts) and to display a hint to a news event on charts of these financial instruments.
