Description

This feature request relates to the connecting lines that MultiCharts draws between the entry and exit signals on a chart.

Currently, this line only shows up if the exit signal is visible on the chart. For example, assume that the chart is scrolled in such a way so that both the entry and exit signals are shown on the chart. MultiCharts will display the connecting line.

However, if you scroll the window to the left, so that the entry signal is visible but the exit signal is off-screen, the connecting line disappears. This makes it harder to see that there's a trade on the chart, and to see the results of that trade (profitable or unprofitable).

In contrast, the connecting line will display correctly if you scroll the window to the right, so that only the exit signal (but not the entry signal) is visible. In that case, MultiCharts will draw a connecting line from the location of the off-screen entry signal to the on-screen exit signal.

It would be better to show the connecting line in both situations. I.e., if you scroll the window to the left, so that the exit signal is no longer visible, MultiCharts should still draw a connecting line from the entry signal towards the off-screen exit signal.

Steps to reproduce this issue

See the three attached screenshots:

  1. The first shows both the entry and exit signals for a trade, with the connecting line visible.

  2. The second shows the results of scrolling to the left, so that the exit signal moves off-screen to the right. The connecting line then disappears.

  3. The third shows the results of scrolling to the right, so that the entry signal moves off-screen to the left. The connecting line is still drawn from the off-screen entry signal to the on-screen exit signal.
