Description

The documentation for PowerLanguage.Function is extremely lacking. I'm finding myself spending an inordinate amount of time doing the following:

  1. Discovering what functions there are. Thankfully, I can use Visual Studio 2010 to browse the available functions.

  2. Reverse engineering the precise behavior of the functions. I'm having to look at your indicator source code to figure out how the functions work. I haven't tried to use a .NET decompiler yet, but it's on my list of things to try.

It'd be really handy to either have access to the function source code or complete documentation for each function.

Steps to reproduce this issue

Open up the PowerLanguage .NET help file. Open the PowerLanguage.Function namespace in the help file. Notice that NONE of the functions are documented. Commence crying.

Oh yes. It's more reverse engineering at the moment than learning from the (generated) documentation with very short descriptions and no examples given.

Of course there is an EMA, but how should I figure out it is called XAverage in Multi Charts? It is not documented anywhere. Or how is the ATR calculated? Some platforms use Wilder, some use EMA !!? Or what other functions or extensions are available, and what are their parameters?!

Please add documentation ... everywhere !!!

Pre-built scripts are mostly industry standard. Please open their scripts and see which functions are used and how they are working exactly.
