Does anyone have a problem merging ASCII Mapping for history and IB for realtime?. I am using the new version and trying to plot SPX NDX (Daily) using mapping and IB for realtime and have a problem ,,ie no data. I can plot the ASCII ok ..I can plot the IB ok .. but merging as above is giving problem...

One thing that I have asked awhile back and would love to see is a "System Equity" analysis that one can plot under the chart similar to TS.

After the optimization the System Equity analysis would complement.

Excellent tool for a visual as your system takes it triggers.

Right now I do not think you can. If you remove them, MC goes into fix mode and places them back.

I tried many months back to remove them and that was my experience. They don't take up much space so why not just leave them

For a work around, why not write your system over as a study and add the alert to that study.

Apply the study to your system signal on your chart.

When I delete the demo workspaces. MC goes into error mode meaning it auto goes into REPAIR mode and when completed it places the Demo workspaces back.

So not sure you can physically delete the Demo spaces in current version or previous versions for a fact.

I find IB historical data faulty. What I do in some workspaces is merge the above to historical and IB for realtime.

I sometimes hesitate to upgrade to the latest release. I do keep copies of previous releases in case I need to go back.

Downloaded the new beta. IB data seem to load much faster

But for daily charts, SPX, NDX etc. the chart in the new beta still does not plot the current daily bar. Quotes are active and up to date on chart but MC does not plot the current daily day bar during market hours.

One more thing, I have noticed that IB now has histirical data for indexes like SPX and NDX so I do not need to do the merge for these. Just set it to IB source.

Some indexes like VXO do not have daily histirical from IB. So merge is still needed

A work around that I do, (if you have all the data) specially on indexes from IB is to set preferences from "On Demand" to "On Line" for my workspaces with indexes.

Works for me, after uploading that particular index workspace, I set the preferences back to On Demand.

Another thing is to remember you can not launch IB on weekend ,, Since IB does not connect,.. So on weekend like Saturday one should not click on the Trade Manager Window.
