Hello, Meecc!
You need to rename the existing symbols to a 2-digits or 4-digits year format. If you have, e.g. ESU0 that used to be ES September in 2010, you need to rename it to ESU10 or ESU2010 in QuoteManager.

These bugs were fixed in MultiCharts 12 Release-Candidate. You can download it as Beta on this page and test it: https://www.multicharts.com/downlo...

Re: PosTradeCount(PosBack) | Suggestion for more notes/details
Hello, JensOhle! Yes, you’re right about the description of PosTradeCount(PosBack) in Help: it doesn’t properly reflect what the function does. We’ll rework the description. PosTradeCount(PosBack) returns the total number of entries within a position while it is open. If you initially entered a posi...

Re: point or tick value configuration for backtesting
Hello, birdman3000! There were no improvements in this respect. The settings for the symbols are taken from the Symbol Dictionary (for futures), from exchange or symbol settings. Symbol Dictionary for symbol contains correct parameters. In all other cases the settings should be adjusted manually if ...

Sten,
After further analysis it turned out that his feature is still in development and leaked into MultiCharts 12 Release-Candidate by mistake. These controls will be removed from MultiCharts 12 Release and will be introduced back after this functionality is ready and fully tested.

Hello, wilkinsw!
There’s no way to calculate the number of instruments on a chart from a study or check the DataN availability, but that is possible to pass this number to your study as an input.

Hello, johnromeronc!
If you need to get full volume for a bar, then you need to use barsTrueVolume() – it doesn’t miss any ticks out and returns true full volume.
As for the events – CalcBar method call is the event of a new tick arrival for the data series upon which a study is calculated.
